No sound from computer

Windows sometimes attempts to use a Dell monitor as an audio output device, even if the monitor does not have speakers. This results in no sound from the computer. To switch back to the correct audio output:

Click the speaker icon near the clock, then click the up arrow:

Select the Speakers/Headphones options:

Adjust the volume as desired:
